Woodstock, VA (Massanutten Military Academy) - Massanutten Military Academy’s new weight room is ready for cadets to set new records! The modern, fully equipped room generously donated by Mr. Bill Holtzman (Class of 1955) will serve as a cornerstone for student wellness and athletic excellence. Teens have access to top-tier strength and conditioning equipment, preparing them for the competition field or Service Academy exams, expanding their Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) training.

- Social and Emotional Benefits – Physical activity provides teens a productive outlet for stress or to manage their emotions. An opportunity to get that exercise in a community space also allows them to build friendship and support systems. The discipline and routine of weightlifting also teach goal setting, perseverance and time management, building critical life skills as a teenager.
- Improved Academic Performance – Resistance training is proven to improve brain functionality. Adding weightlifting to a teen’s workout schedule can improve attention span, reasoning skills and memory. Your student walks into every classroom better prepared to break down complex subjects and think critically to find solutions.
- Fostering School Spirit – We’re proud to call ourselves the Colonels, and our weight room is fully decked out with our signature purple and gold. The bright colors bring an energetic atmosphere that reflects our cadets, while highlighting our identity and commitment to excellence.
