Registration & Arriving on Campus

REGISTRATION
  1. Submit your signed contract AND pay deposit within 5 days of receiving acceptance and contract.
  1. Log into your Parent Portal and complete the registration forms found in your Checklist. A current physical must be within the last 12 months dated after July 2023. If you get a sports physical, we still need the Medical Evaluation form completed by a doctor for immunizations and prescription medication. Contact Danijela Vasic if you have questions at 540-459-2167 Option 5 or email dvasic@militaryschool.com.
3. Self-schedule check-in appointment through your parent portal account under Checklist at Registration located at the bottom of the checklist.

All other fees of technology, weekend activities, and allowance can be paid for on Parent page of the website.

WHAT TO BRING SCHOOL YEAR 2024-25
New cadets will be issued uniforms, socks, school backpack, footlocker, lock, wool blanket, and laundry bag. 
Returning cadets are expected to bring all uniforms and gear issued prior school year and or summer(s).

Be sure to review the Required Items list for details on what to bring. We recommend bringing a clear water bottle.  Do not bring civilian clothes, snacks or anything not listed on the Required Items packing list. Review Unauthorized Items list provided. All cash will be turned into the Business Office.  Massanutten Military Academy will not be responsible for cash, debit cards or items that are lost or stolen.

HAIR CUT BEFORE ARRIVALMale cadets are REQUIRED to get military haircuts BEFORE arriving on campus.  They will need clipper cut of “1” on the sides and a “2” on the top.  If your child arrives on campus without a haircut, then we will ask you to visit a barber in town before check-in can be completed.

HAIR STYLING
Female Cadets with all hair types, hair must be able to be put in a bun daily with natural hair color only. No non-natural hair colors permitted. Buns not to exceed the width of head. Braids, twists and locs permitted as long as they can be put in a bun (not to exceed the width of head). For all shorter styles, hair must be able to be pinned out of face and be able to wear headgear, hats, covers, etc.
 
ARRIVAL ON CAMPUS SCHOOL YEAR 2024-25

Football and Soccer Preseason:
We will be having an Athletics Preseason for our football and soccer teams. If your cadet will be participating in either of those sports then we are asking for them to report to campus one week early, on August 11th. Registration will take place on August 11 between 12:00pm-5:00pm. Please contact Admissions to get your appointment. We will also be offering our shuttle service and arrangements for that can be made through our Transportation Director, Joseph Cecce, jcecce@militaryschool.com
 
Registration Day (excluding Football and Soccer preseason):
Day of arrival and check-in is August 18, 2024, from 9:00-5:00pm by appointment.  You must complete registration first before you schedule your check-in appointment.
·        New cadets are required to arrive on campus accompanied by at least one parent/guardian.
·        Returning cadets can arrive on their own.  A MMA Shuttle is available at scheduled designated times only. Returning cadets must submit the 2024-2025 Arrival on Campus form and arrive wearing purple polo over khaki uniform.
·  Enter campus through the Admissions North Campus entrance located next to the 2-story blue and white house.  Be sure to come during your scheduled appointment time.
·        Check-in will include turning in medications/vitamins, drug test, baggage check.
