STEM Faculty
We are seeking an innovative and student-focused STEM educator to join Massanutten Academy for the 2026–2027 school year. Massanutten Academy is seeking an energetic, innovative, and student-focused educator to join our faculty for the 2026-2027 academic year. Located in the beautiful foothills of the Massanutten Mountains in Woodstock, Virginia, Massanutten Academy provides a structured, supportive environment where students are challenged to achieve academic excellence, develop leadership skills, and grow as responsible citizens.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Master's Degree preferred
- Teaching experience in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, STEM, or a related field preferred
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, parents, and cadets
- Commitment to fostering a structured and disciplined learning environment
- Experience integrating technology into instruction is preferred
Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach upper-level Mathematics and Computer Science-based STEM courses
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum objectives
- Incorporate hands-on, project-based learning opportunities that encourage critical thinking and problem-solving
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and cadets
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date grade book
- Mentor cadets through weekly advisory meetings
- Participate in occasional weekend duties and school events
- Adhere to all Academy policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook
- Help maintain and foster a structured, disciplined, and positive classroom environment
- Support the Academy's mission of academic achievement, leadership development, and character education
