School Nurse (Part Time)
Are you a medical professional that enjoys working with kids? Then Massanutten Military Academy may be the place for you. Massanutten is looking for a professional and caring person who holds a current license as a CNA, LPN, or RN.
We will also consider those with a Med Tech License. Salary will be based on education level and experience. Applicant must have a valid driver's license.
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Dispensing prescription medications to students per physician instructions
- Taking students’ temperatures when fever is suspected
- Administering first aid and CPR
- Treating minor injuries such as cuts, scrapes and bruises
- Contacting parents when students are ill or injured
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with students and parents
- Ability to demonstrate a calm, caring demeanor when working with children
- Ability to remain focused in the event of a student medical emergency
- Ability to pass a background check prior to employment
