Dining at Massanutten
Cook & Kitchin
(That's spelled correctly)
Founded by two alumni, Jack P. Cook '43 and William R. Kitchin '41, the Cook & Kitchin Dining Hall is located on the north side of campus near Warehime Dormitory. Although they attended Massanutten at different times, Cook and Kitchin eventually became lifelong friends. After becoming fraternity brothers at the University of Virginia, they began their careers in the food industry by selling snack foods to over 200 customers in the University of Virginia area. Both gentlemen served on the academy's Board of Trustees and headed the Dining Hall Project.
Today, the Cook & Kitchin Dining Hall serves cadets breakfast, lunch, and dinner Monday through Friday and provides brunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday. Cook and Kitchin is managed by Mrs. Kim Funkhouser and her team. Their dedication to the environment and the health of the students makes them a perfect partner for Massanutten Military Academy.
