Emalou Dublo

Enrollment Manager

[email protected]
540-459-2167 option 1

Emalou Dublo joined MMA in the Admissions department in December 2013. She is a native Floridian, born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida.  Emalou has served as a mentor to youth over the years serving as a member of Boy Scout Troop 334 and as a Big Sister while working at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Pinellas County for six years.  Emalou is a mother of two grown adult children Seth and Abi with her daughter currently attending GMU.

Emalou enjoys working at MMA as part of the staff and faculty team helping to provide opportunities and success for students that are not getting the same opportunities and success at large public schools and other academic settings.  She considers it an honor to serve MMA cadets through the progression of their academic career and to see them mature with confidence in themselves.

Jes Sheppard

Admissions Assistant

[email protected]

Jes Sheppard has been at Massanutten since 2018, beginning her journey at the Academy working directly with the cadets in the barracks. She has since worked in various areas on campus, which helps her when she is helping prospective parents and cadets learn about all that MMA offers. She enjoys sharing with families the core values of MMA and talking about how the Academy is a family that works together to help each other succeed.

Jes not only works with families from when the initial inquiry, but she is there in the barracks with the cadets at night continuing to nurture young minds into future leaders, and on the field coaching soccer in fall. As a parent of cadets herself, she understands the importance of maintaining a structured environment that teaches cadets how to make the world better tomorrow than it is today.

You might spot Jes out walking her dog, Doctor, when you come by campus! She lives in Woodstock with her children, Nate and Madison.

Justin Elshafie

Recruiter and Retention Manager

[email protected]

Justin Elshafie works with current and prospective families to help decide their educational needs. Justin, being an alumnus of the Academy, believes that all teenage students need the structure that Massanutten provides.  He knows how important the regimented daily life can be for your child’s future, and the three pillars of the Academy support your child’s success- military, sports and academics. All three pillars are important aspects of a cadet’s daily life.

Justin is also the assistant athletic director, head baseball coach, and an assistant football coach, so his interaction with the cadets does not stop once they are enrolled at Massanutten. Justin’s prior position was that of Senior Male TAC in which he worked with the cadets as a mentor and coach.

With Justin’s firsthand experience of being a graduate, alumnus and employee make him a huge asset to our admissions team. Justin’s philosophy on and off the field with cadets is that in order to succeed in life and school you must dedicate your life to getting 1% better each and every day in all aspects of life.

Justin lives with his wife Tristin Elshafie, also an alumnus of the Academy, and his adorable daughter Mila in Toms Brook, Virginia.

Meet The Admissions Ambassadors
