Each year Massanutten Military Academy hosts a variety of summer camps for students of all ages. At MMA we understand that our students have individual sets of needs and our Summer Programs provide them with the opportunity to dive deeper into their unique learning habits. We are proud to offer several programs: the JROTC Summer Program, the English for Academics Summer Program, the STEM Summer Camp, and Colonel’s Camp.
The JROTC Summer Program – Our JROTC Summer Program is designed to help shape strong cadet into even better leaders by refining their leadership skills. This summer program maximizes cadets’ potential both inside and outside of classroom by combining academic work with practical skills. Whether your child is already a student at Massanutten, is going to be, or is interested in being in the JROTC program at their public high school, our program can help introduce the LET curriculum into their everyday lives.
English for Academics (EAP) Summer Program – Our English for Academics program uses common English as a Second Language (ESL) coursework in conjunction with real-world experiences through field trips to help students learn English in exciting ways as they interact with students across the United States. This program can range from one to five weeks long and is open to students grades 6-12.
STEM Summer Camp – Our STEM Summer Camps last two weeks and focus on strengthening the Computer Science, Engineering, Flight and Space, and Bio-medical skills of students as they also explore certain topics like Energy and the Environment. This program is open to students grades 6-12.
Colonel’s Camp – Colonel’s Camp is our Leadership Program designed to help Middle School students learn valuable skills that will help them prepare for high school. This program focuses on values like Character, Leadership, Responsibility, and Service as well as building the capacity for life-long learning. During this program, cadets take several field trips and community service opportunities.
