Now is the time to start looking into your child’s summer activities. At Massanutten Military Academy, our summer programs will offer a hands-on experience that they will remember for years to come. Our programs range from single week STEM camps and 5-week JROTC camps to academic and leadership camps.
Our summer programs include:
STEM Summer Camp
Over the summer, we offer two 1-week camps focused on the STEM curriculum (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). These camps are great opportunities for students to explore new subjects as they participate in classes like: Energy and the Environment, Computer Science, Engineering, Flight and Space, and Bio-medical.
JROTC Summer Camp
Designed to help cadet leaders increase and refine their leadership skills as well as introduce students in grades 9-12 to the JROTC curriculum, the JROTC program includes not only class time, but numerous outdoor activities. If your student is interested in JROTC and has not had the chance to explore its possibilities or if your student is trying to get ahead in their school’s JROTC program, this is the opportunity for them.
Colonel’s Camp – A Middle School Leadership Camp
Colonel’s Camp is a Middle School Leadership Program for students in grades 6-8. During this program, your student will learn valuable skills that will help them as they prepare for the high school careers. This program focuses on values like Character, Leadership, Responsibility, and Service as well as building the capacity for life-long learning.
English for Academics Summer Camp
Massanutten Military Academy offers a one to five-week English for Academics Program that utilizes English as a Second Language (ESL) course work for students in grades 6-12. Students will learn English both in a classroom setting and through exciting field trips and through daily life as they interact with students from all over the United States.
Academic Summer Camp
In our Academic Summer School, we offer a combination of a structured learning environment, with the fun of a summer camp through a combination of classroom time and weekend activities. Students can revisit classes they need to improve their GPA.
