Massanutten Military Academy seniors recently visited a college fair in Winchester at Lord Fairfax Community College. Our cadets had the opportunity to speak with 35 different colleges about the various programs and course offerings at each school. The cadets also received a tour of LFCC’s campus and heard a presentation on the rise of trade positions in the workforce.
The college tour was perfectly timed with MMA College Day the same week. College day is an annual event at MMA that includes college representatives on campus and faculty members presenting to cadets about preparing for college life. It is a great opportunity for cadets to learn the necessary steps at each grade level to help them prepare for life after high school. College Day allows cadets to learn and focus on key aspects of preparing for the college admission and acceptance process, college life, sports and athletics opportunities, and study habits.
