Scholarship Announcement: The Steve and Kim Rehman Scholarship

We are pleased to announce the Steve and Kim Rehman Scholarship for the 2020-2021 Academic Year. The scholarship is a 4- year award presented to a rising freshman with at least a 3.0 GPA and in good standing. Applicants must submit an essay on why they want to attend Massanutten Military Academy. The scholarship recipient will receive half of their tuition and room & board covered for a total of $14,500/year. The remainder of the tuition, room & board, and fees are the responsibility of the applicant.

Mr. Steve Rehman, MMA alumni ’74, and his wife Kim are providing the scholarship for a Massanutten 9th grade cadet to provide a pathway to success. When asked about the 4-year investment, Mr. Rehman said, “it was how MMA allowed and guided myself to mature and develop to my full potential with an opportunity  I would not have had at public school.” Mr. Rehman continued to discuss the importance of his time at Massanutten, “if not for MMA, I would not be in the successful sales business that we have today. The school teaches the core values, sense of pride, ownership, common sense 101, and unlimited opportunities to self improve and win!”

Kim Elshafie-Layman, Head of School, expressed her gratitude for the continued generosity that Mr. and Mrs. Rehman have shared with the Academy, “The Rehman’s commitment and selflessness towards MMA over the years is a testament to their core values. We are very appreciative to have them as part of the MMA family, and we look forward to honoring their values with the scholarship recipient.”
