An Art Experience for the Art and English Students

On Tuesday, Cadets from Art & English class went to Washington DC for the inaugural interactive digital art exhibition at Artechouse - "XYZT: ABSTRACT LANDSCAPES", where X,Y,Z, are coordinates in space, along with T, time.  Physically immersed into imaginary territory, Cadets manipulated algorithms, in a virtual visual playground of ten digital landscapes.
The works were created by leading digital artists and multimedia choreographers Adrien M & Claire B. They combine the real and computer-generated world experience with IT tools that they have developed and customized specifically for each installation and performance.

In the dimly lit gallery, each piece had it's own unique fluidity while responding to Cadet's every movement or action, whether touch, dancing, moving arms, or walking. One even involved blowing air on a swirling alphabet of letters. Truly an uncommon sensory sensation that challenged perceptions of reality and the space surrounding us. This black and white electronic funhouse was so convincing with it's real time responsive action that one felt motion where there was none. It was like moving through a life size game, where you are both the single player and the object. The main "Anamorphosis in Time" elicited giggles and laughter as it swirled bodies around in a infinite variation of curved movements with it's four-second time lapse video projection. And everyone who stood in front it, naturally started swaying and dancing to the often-comical delay. Each piece grabbed Cadet's senses directly, holding them in an extended moment of disbelief that an art experience could be so much fun...

You know your child can do more but is not getting the attention needed in their current environment to reach their full potential. We know that choosing the right school for your child can be difficult because each child is so unique. We believe students should experience school as it should be, a place where children are educated in an environment that leads them to thrive and encourages their maximum potential.
