MMA’s post-graduate basketball team hosted the Annual Pink Game versus Scotland Campus White. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness, Tammy Kelly was recognized prior to the tip of the
game. Tammy is not only a breast cancer survivor, but a member of the MMA family. She is MMA Alumni, Rashard Kelly’s mom. Rashard was a member of the PG Basketball team in 2012-2013 and was a key member on the Wichita State basketball team. He now plays professionally in Russia.
The Colonels started the game with a strong defensive effort putting pressure on Scotlands’s offense. Heading into halftime MMA had a 36 point lead. Jarvis Vaughan led the team in scoring with 16 points followed by Jarren McAllister and Josh Jones both contributing 15 points. A strong team effort was evident with MMA posting 26 assists and 16 steals. The Colonels defeated Scotland 129-78.
