MMA’s post-graduate basketball team opens at home this Saturday, October 27 at 12:30 pm against S4G Academy. Last year, the Colonels finished the season with a 32-4 record. Under fifth year head coach, Chad Myers, the Colonels are showcasing a brand new 2018-2019 roster except lone returner, Mahamadou Diawara. The starting five expected for Saturday include center Mahamadou Diawara, point guard Dereon Seabron, shooting guard Jarren McAllister, guard Brandon Suggs, and forward Jarvis Vaughan.

Coach Myers spoke with The Northern Virginia Daily this week regarding the height and size of this year’s roster and said, “late in the season you’ve gotta be able to rebound; you’ve gotta be able to finish in the paint, you’ve gotta get easy baskets, all those things. When we tried to recruit this year, we tried to kind of work on our size and length and post depth.”
