Cadets visited Dutch Haven Assisted Living in Maurertown, VA to spend time with the residents and to learn the importance of serving others. Dutch Haven has several Veterans as residents, which provided a warm welcome to the
cadets from Massanutten Military Academy over Veteran’s Day weekend. Ms. Zahran has built a Cadet Companion program with Dutch Haven. The program pairs cadets with a resident which allows more one-on-one attention in a group setting. The residents enjoyed coloring and chatting with the cadets! Ms. Zahran has been working with Dutch Haven on setting up monthly visits for cadets. The next Cadet Companion trip is scheduled on Saturday, December 8th.
Massanutten Military Academy is a Virginia Military School that teaches character development, superior academics and leadership training for grades 6 through 12.
