MMA Alumni, Rasir Bolton was named Athlete of the Week at Penn State this week. Bolton averaged 22 points in 2 games, scoring a career-high 27 points versus Colgate University. Bolton was a member of the PG Basketball team in 2017-2018 where he
was an instrumental part of leading the Colonels to their 4th Elite 8 appearance in the National Prep Championship under Coach Myers. Bolton’s accolades continue as he was named Prep Circuit MVP at the National Prep Showcase and also honored at MMA during his senior year with a 2,000 point ball!
Coach Myers was not surprised that Bolton received the honor from Penn State. Coach Myers said, “Rasir was one of the hardest workers we have had in the program. He prepared every day for this opportunity while at MMA. He not only worked with high intensity but was also very diligent about what he was working on! We are lucky to have alumni like Rasir Bolton.”
MMA’s PG Basketball program has produced 32 Division I players over four seasons. The PG team plays a competitive schedule and is consistently ranked in the national rankings annually.
