Massanutten Military Academy offers a variety of programs for students to learn, grow, and develop. This summer, we are excited to announce that we are offering a week-long Girl’s Camp. This program will focus on the great outdoors and what we can all learn from it.
As one of only 16 co-ed military schools in the entire United States, Massanutten Military Academy recognizes the importance of military school for young women. MMA gives young women the opportunity to break the status quo and overcome stereotypes that are often associated with attending a military boarding school. Female students at MMA experience a quality education while learning and developing critical leadership skills that are useful for their future careers.
Our Girl’s Camp is an extension of the everyday principles and learning concepts that female students are taught and refined over their years at MMA. Our hands-on Girl’s Camp is a week-long session that emphasizes the importance of learning through experiencing the outdoors. Each morning will begin in the classroom with instruction about our environment. The afternoons will be spent actually exploring the environment that was discussed in the morning sessions.
There is no better time than the summer for girls to develop strong leadership skills, personal independence, and high self-esteem. Massanutten Military Academy instills these traits in all females who attend our academy. Coupling these characteristics with the adventurous nature of Girl’s Camp, this experience can be a turning point in your daughter’s life and give her valuable skills that will be useful for years and years to come.
