Former MMA Colonels player, Tyrese Martin, was selected as the 51st pick in 2022 NBA Draft by the Golden State Warriors and then traded to the Atlanta Hawks. Martin was on the 2017-2018 PG basketball team before attending Rhode Island and then transferring to UConn.
Also, Dereon Seabron, from the 2018-2019 PG basketball team, signed a two-way deal with the New Orleans Pelicans. After MMA, Seabron played for NC State.
Martin and Seabron join Frank Mason, 2012-2013 PG basketball, and Jamorko Pickett, 2016-2017 PG basketball team, in the NBA.
