The Colonels Volleyball team played against Mountain View Christian Academy on September 18th. Although they dropped their first match 0 to 3, it was still a great game for the extremely young team. The team was led by impressive digs from Cadet Herring and great playing at the net by Cadet Beir. The team was led in serving by Cadet Stone, Payne, and Herring. The Colonels played an impressive second game as well. They held their own and ended the game with a score of 21-25. The first set was lost 15-25 and the third set was lost 11-25 respectively. The Colonels next game will be held on September 24th where we hope to see the momentum continue towards a win for the team. At Massanutten Military Academy, all cadets are required to play a sport, which is a great way for students to learn teamwork skills and develop an athletic talent.
