Cadets in AP U.S. Government class went on a field trip to Washington D.C. and visited the U.S. Supreme Court and the National Archives. The students were able to see historic artifacts from the Supreme Court and watch an excellent film starring the judges, past and present, summarizing so well what was studied this year about the U.S. Judicial System.
Cadets enjoyed lunch at the National Gallery of Art Café and then headed over to the National Archives where the day concluded with the viewing of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. It was an absolutely fabulous day walking through the city, passing many beautiful buildings like the Capitol, enjoying the Spring weather, and seeing, first hand, the many documents the cadets have been reading and dissecting for months!

Cadets at MMA have the opportunity to leave the traditional classroom with field trips such as this one to immerse themselves in the subject matter.
