Athletics and Physical Development
Physical fitness is vital to cadet life. Regular exercise promotes overall wellness and emotional health. Throughout the school year, cadets must participate in general fitness activities or on interscholastic sports teams. Fitness program instructors teach cadets to use weight room and exercise equipment properly and effectively. Cadets participating in interscholastic athletics experience teamwork and sportsmanship, the demands of preparation and training, and the rewards of persevering in adversity. Many cadet-athletes enjoy team participation at MMA far beyond their opportunities at larger schools.
Coaching Every Cadet to Succeed
The Academy's coaches are dedicated to helping young people develop not just their athletic abilities, but their character and positive attitudes as well. Many MMA coaches competed or coached previously at collegiate
and professional levels. They enjoy the challenges now of nurturing and supporting cadets on and off the playing field. MMA Colonels teams train to be champions and to compete, always, with class.
