Class of ’57 Returns to Graduate Class of 2007  posted 07 June 2007 

Pete Wenk (’57), Chairman of the Board of Trustees at MMA, brought a few friends and classmates of 1957 to MMA graduation this year.  The honored guests assisted in handing out several of the awards and diplomas during the graduation ceremony this year.  Chuck Plymale (’57), Bill Rea (’57), Ernie Robinson (’57), and Phil Stansfield (’57) were recognized by fellow classmate Pete Wenk during the ceremonies and shared a brief statement about MMA and some advice for the graduating cadets.

In addition to the wise advice from the members of the Class of ’57, Colonel Carlos Glover, Director of JROTC programs, gave some animated, humorous and wise advice to the cadets of 2007.  Cadet Hyun Sup Song was the class valedictorian and Cadet Michael Pak was the class salutatorian for 2007.  The class of 2007 graduated 44 cadets this year, most attending college with some entering directly into military service.  Thanks for the support from the class of 1957 and good luck to the class of 2007!

The week before graduation is always filled with excitement and commotion like most schools, but promotions at MMA make our last week even more exciting.  After several weeks of interviews with Faculty, Administration and the Commandant's Office, cadets are chosen and promoted to positions of leadership based on their past performance and potential.  Highest honor and recognition goes to cadets in the primary leadership positions of Commanders (CDR), Executive Officers (XO), First Sergeants (1SG), and  Platoon Leaders (LTs).  Battalion staff consist of the most qualified seniors listed in the top category below.  Highest honor goes to senior Cadet Costa who was selected Battalion Commander and junior Cadet Sinar who was selected as Cadet Sergeant Major.
