Tabitha Burke, class of 05, Female Athlete of the YearPhysical fitness is a vital part of the educational program at Massanutten teaching good sportsmanship, teamwork, and an appreciation for regular exercise. MMA believes that a healthy body aids a sound mind. Therefore, all cadets are required to participate on co-curricular athletic teams or intramurals activities. Studies show that students who are physically active have higher concentration levels, are better at time management, and are more likely to stay physically active throughout their lives.

Coaching Every Cadet to Succeed
Coaches at MMA are either instructors or volunteers from the local community who are devoted to the success of each team player. Our coaches nurture and help your cadet to excel and grow both on and off the field of play. All cadets at MMA participate in athletics, which is something that isn’t always available in larger schools. Our athletes are also more likely to be exposed to college coaches—offering the potential for scholarships.
