Benchoff Hall
First Floor—Includes the Commandant’s and Deputy Commandant’s offices. The west
wing includes five high school classrooms
and the main hall has six
classrooms, one of which is our new computer lab. All the classrooms
were renovated in August 2005 and provide cadets with a superb
learning environment.
Second Floor—The Academy’s administrative offices, including
those of the President, Academic Dean, Registrar,
College Placement Officer, Director of Finance, Business Office, Director of Admissions,
Director of Development, Director of Activities, and the Director of
Communications are on the second floor. The west wing includes three
classrooms and a computer lab.
The computer labs are used to teach computer courses, design the
school yearbook, as language labs, and for SAT/PSAT/ACT preparatory
courses. The labs are open during the evening study periods for
students to complete academic assignments. Under adult supervision,
cadets may check their e-mail and surf the internet during
designated times during the day and before the start of the evening
study period. Cadets are not authorized to have personal computers.
Third Floor—The third floor is home to the male cadets of one
of the cadet
companies. These dorm rooms and bathrooms were completely renovated
during July and August 2005. Most rooms house two cadets. Two
apartments provide living quarters for CDOs or
teachers.
Fourth Floor—The fourth floor is home to the male cadets of G
Company. Two apartments provide living quarters for Cadet
Development Officers (CDOs) or
teachers.


Harrison Hall
Second Floor—Includes the Cadet Store
and Cadet Bookstore where cadets may purchase personal items, school supplies, souvenirs,
and textbooks. The faculty work
room also is located on the second floor. The Harrison Library is
also located on this floor. It holds 6,000 volumes and a variety of
periodicals for cadet use. Twelve computers located in the library
are internet accessible for cadet homework, research or answering
e-mail. The yearbook workroom and journalism classroom is adjacent
to the library.
Third Floor—The third floor houses 26 male cadets. This includes the
Academy's Postgraduate Basketball Team and selected members of the battalion
staff.


Harrison Tower
Harrison Tower is contiguous to Harrison Hall to the south and
Lantz Hall to the north. It houses the Academy's barbershop, band practice
rooms, staff offices, and studio art classrooms.


Lantz Hall
Built in 1907, Lantz Hall is one of the oldest buildings on campus and
is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
New science
labs, located in the west wing, were completed in 1999 and a $1.7
million capital improvement completely modernized the dorm rooms on
the second and third floors in 2002 as well as Caskey Auditorium,
which doubles as the Academy’s chapel. It seats 300.
Second and Third Floors—Each floor houses a male cadet
company. A faculty apartment on each floor provides living quarters for one the
Academy’s Cadet Development Officers (CDOs).
Basement—Home to the Academy's rifle range.


Sperry Hall
The
renovation of Sperry Hall is the Academy’s next major capital improvement
project. When completed, it will include a new library and technology center on
the first floor, five modern classrooms and a study hall on the second floor and
a new dorm for 30 cadets on the third floor
First Floor—The north end houses the
Quartermaster and cadet seamstress. The Quartermaster is responsible
for issuing and maintaining all cadet uniforms.
Second Floor—The JROTC classrooms and offices.
Third Floor—JROTC storage.


Riddleberger Hall
First Floor—The
renovation of Riddleberger Hall will be accomplished along with Sperry Hall.
Second and Third Floors—Two faculty or staff apartments.


Warehime Dormitory
Built in 1988, Warehime
Hall houses the Academy’s female cadets. The
building is fully air-conditioned and has double occupancy rooms to
house a maximum of 52 young women, a kitchen, a lounge with
TV/VCR/DVD, a mini-gym with equipment especially designed for young
women, and a laundry room. Apartments on each of the three floors
provide living quarters for dorm supervisors who provide extra
supervision and mentorship. The building is protected by a security
camera and alarm system.


Cook and Kitchin Dining Hall
This facility was opened in 1998 and is the best that you will find.
The dining hall can seat 325 people in its main dining room and
private dining room utilizing two cafeteria-style food lines, a
salad bar and deli bar. The Academy out sources its food service with
Brock & Company. Please visit Brock & Company’s
website for more information. Brock and MMA provide cadets with
meals which are second to none.

Harrison Swimming Pool

• The indoor pool located adjacent to Harrison Hall and is
the home of the Shenandoah County swimming champions. |

Infirmary
The carriage house, which is
centrally located to the west of the Hayes Activities
Center, houses the Academy’s infirmary. The infirmary is managed by
a nurse each day from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and includes the nurses’
station as well as a six-bed cadet ward. There is a nurse on call
from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.


Hayes Activity Center

Cadets love the "HAC." The Hayes Activity Center provides cadets with
large-screen TVs, video games, pool tables, table tennis, Foosball,
board games, computers, and snack and drink machines. This facility
provides the cadets with a first class student union area where they can
relax and socialize. In 2006, the Activities Center underwent
significant renovations. New ceilings, heating, air conditioning,
bathroom facilities and security camera were added. |


Beverley Farms
Located directly across
Main Street from the South entrance, Beverley Farms is
home to the Academy’s President and is used to host special
functions throughout the year.
